III National Scientific Conference "Sport - an interdisciplinary approach"
Dear Sirs,
The Center for American and Center for European Studies invite you to participate in the 3rd Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference entitled "Sport - an interdisciplinary approach".
WHEN?
The conference will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
The length of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the conference to Saturday, November 15, 2025.
WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE ABOUT?
The main assumption of the conference is a broad discussion on the problems, achievements and challenges of sport (both from a contemporary and historical perspective).
Presentations may concern sport, its history, principles, contemporary dimensions of functioning, connections between sport and fields such as law, business, advertising, recreation, medicine and health sciences, development, technology... and much more!
The conference will address, among others: pathologies in sports, such as gambling, corruption or doping, which often prevent fair sports competition.
We will also discuss the psychological aspects of sports (motivation, burnout, athlete's character, psychological care for athletes, and many others).
The Conference will also include those who look at sports more from a business perspective - they deal professionally with legal or economic issues in sports organizations or prepare advertising or club contracts for athletes as part of their professional work.
