2nd National Scientific Conference "Discovering the natural world"
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Center for Science & Technology together with the Center for American & European Studies are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2nd National Scientific Conference entitled "Discovering the natural world".
When?
The conference will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
The length of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the conference to Sunday, January 19, 2025.
WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE ABOUT?
The main goal of the conference is to discuss problems and challenges related to the natural world in all its dimensions.
The presentations will be organized into thematic panels divided into fields of science (natural sciences, engineering and technology, social sciences and humanities).
EXAMPLE TOPIC AREAS
→ Biodiversity and protection of endangered species.
→ History and future of natural sciences.
→ Urban ecology: how cities affect the natural environment.
→ Research on aquatic ecosystems and their importance for life on Earth.
→ New technologies in natural research, e.g. the use of drones or artificial intelligence.
→ Environmental education and promotion of ecological awareness in society.
→ The role of politics and law in protecting the natural environment.
→ Use of natural resources and their sustainable management.
→ The impact of urbanization on the quality of life and the urban environment.
→ Social aspects of nature conservation: ecotourism, management of national parks.
→ Ethics and morality in the context of ecology and nature protection.
→ Evolution and adaptation of organisms to changing environmental conditions.
Presentations may be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science.
Poster presentations are accepted.
Speeches at the intersection of two sciences will be included in the appropriate panel based on the decision of the Conference Scientific Committee resulting from the analysis of the content of the submitted abstract.
We believe in academic freedom. Original and unique speeches will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.

☞ Passive participation does not require any scientific qualifications.
